Travel Plans for 2023

We all have places that we envision to be for the year 2023. Just jumpstarted this year with visits to National Parks — Biscayne and Everglade. A great jumpstart, indeed. However, there are still many places to explore, but this year, I’ll take things one at a time — not to get ahead, so to speak. Here are my preliminary list of places to visit this year.

• Miami — Biscayne National Park and Everglade National Park.

• There will long pause from late January to June. This is when spontaneity comes in. This is an open period and also a time to prep up for things in life.

• Iceland. This is our next big trip this year. We plan to rent a camper and explore certain parts of Iceland.

• Barcelona. Barcelona has become my second home. It is my base in Europe and I feel at home there than any other place in the world. I will definitely spend time there this summer. Of course, staying in Barcelona gives a lot of options like hanging out with friends and doing something together. I may opt for a trek to Nuria again and its surroundings. I may go hike to the French Pyrenees at this time.

  • Visit Sara in Barcelona

  • Play tennis with Jose in El Masnou

• Maro — Nerja. I made a commitment to this place. I started talking to a couple of friends in Germany to go together. I enjoy coming here because of its hippie atmosphere. It makes me do things as I please.

• Porto. I promised Brigitte to go together on a trip to Porto. Definitely we are going to do some side trips from Oporto. I will also consider doing the Camino de Santiago for 11 days starting from Porto.

• Sierra de Guara. This is located in Aragon, Spain. It’s in the pre-Pyrenees area. Last week of August has been scheduled this year. It’s our yearly canyoning year.

• Gottingen, Germany. I missed visiting friends there last year. I already talked to them and gave them a hint of my visit there.

• Köln. This is up in the air. It all depends on the availability of my friend there.

• Cádiz. I skipped visiting this city last year to visit friends. It is on my list at this time.

• There are places that I intend to visit and one of them is Ribeira Sacra, Extremadura, and. Murcia.
