Manila, After Years Away
It’s been over a decade since I last set foot in Manila, and the city feels both like an old friend and a stranger. I’m here alone this time trying to connect and see what I can create of the situation I’m in
Exploring Campgrounds
From Iceland to Alaska, France to Washington State, each campground we’ve explored has told its own story. This is a journey through the unexpected joys, lessons, and quiet magic found where the wild meets the simple life.
Mount Rainier National Park
Some places you visit; Mount Rainier makes you stay awhile—if only in your memory
Olympic National Park
Nestled in the far reaches of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Park is a land of striking contrasts—where moss-draped rainforests, glacier-capped peaks, and wild Pacific coastline all coexist within a single protected landscape. Few places in the world offer this kind of ecological diversity in such close proximity. In just one day, you can hike beneath towering evergreens in the Hoh Rain Forest, breathe in the salty air along driftwood-strewn beaches, and gaze across snow-dusted ridges from Hurricane Ridge. Olympic isn’t just a park—it’s a journey through dramatically different worlds, each with its own rhythm, beauty, and stillness.
North Cascades National Park
Tucked away in the rugged heart of Washington State, North Cascades National Park is one of the Pacific Northwest’s best-kept secrets. Often called the “American Alps,” this wild and remote landscape is a mosaic of jagged peaks, over 300 glaciers, turquoise alpine lakes, and ancient forests. Unlike its more frequented neighbors—Olympic and Mount Rainier—North Cascades offers a deeper solitude, a place where silence still reigns and nature reveals itself in raw, unfiltered beauty.
The Road to Seward
The Anchorage to Seward drive is more than a journey — it’s a passage between worlds, from what’s behind us to what still waits ahead
Explore Côte d'Or
Biking in the Burgundy wine region of Côte d'Or is a delightful experience, combining scenic landscapes, cultural richness, and culinary delights.
Gevrey-Chambertin
Cycling in Gevrey-Chambertin is about more than just the ride—it’s about immersing yourself in the land that produces some of the world’s finest wines. It’s a journey where past and present intertwine, where every vineyard has a story, and where the simple act of pedaling connects you with the very essence of Burgundy.
Chassagne-Montrachet
As soon as I got to Montrachet, I found a family owned vineyard and scheduled a wine tasting.
A Bike Friendly Country
After biking for over a week now, I come to conclude that France is the best country to do a bike tour. It is the continuous thread of beauty along the way.
Just being out there
After hanging out in Paray-le-Monial in the morning, it was time to move on and got to this Château and it became a place to have a picnic. Château de Digoine is surrounded by extensive gardens and a landscaped park. The gardens include formal French-style layouts, with manicured lawns, flowerbeds, and ornamental features. The park also features a picturesque lake, walking paths, and areas of natural beauty.
Paray-le-Monial
I was awaken by a sunrise. I pitched my tent under a tree right next to a pathway of a canal. I had a good sleep and put in more than 100 K yesterday. Now, looking forward to having breakfast in Party-le-Monial.
Exploring the Canals
I never got tired of riding along the Loire river. The changes of sceneries right along the river.
Jars to Nevers
Everyday is a joy and seldom do you go side by side with cars. It is a total delight to cycle and the culture of gastronomy and wine. What more can you ask for when you got beautiful sceneries, historic chateaus, charming villages, excellent wine and exquisite cuisine.
